Riding a motorcycle under a clear blue sky, calm and reflective, creating space to reset and return to myself

Returning to My Sacred Space

There is a place I return to.

It did not exist before. I built it over time. Piece by piece. Decision by decision. Quiet mornings. Long nights. Sitting in discomfort. Letting things fall away that did not belong.

That space now holds me.

It is not perfect. It is not finished. It is mine.

This space is where I come to be alone.

No noise. No expectations. No need to perform or respond. Just me, present with myself.

It is where I reset.

Where I sit in silence and let everything settle. Thoughts slow down. I can feel where I stand.

It reminds me what matters. It grounds me. It brings me back to center.

It is private.

Not something I share. Not something I explain. It is something I protect.

When I leave, I feel it.

I am clear. I am steady. I am ready.

Ready to show up for my family.

Ready to handle what is in front of me.

Ready to move through whatever life brings that day.

Sometimes I just need a short drive. Separate myself from the noise. Clear my head. Get my thoughts in order.

The drive is part of it.

Other times, and the best times, it is taking my brother’s motorcycle out. Best therapy on two wheels. Wind on my face. The roar of the engine. Space opening up inside my mind.

And my favorite space is my camper.

My sacred space.

My silence.

My reset.

The place I go to recharge. To restore.

I know the value of extracting myself from the noise to honor my mind, my heart, and my body.

I go back because I respect what that space gives me.

I carry that peace with me wherever I go. Home is where my heart is.
