You Asked for It
You asked for healing.
You asked for change.
You asked for something different.
You just didn’t know it was gonna be like this.
You just didn’t know what it would take when things gets dark and difficult.
I’ve seen it in ceremony.
People come in asking for healing.
Clear. Certain. Ready… at least in their best way.
And then it hits.
Boom.
The experience in their journey turns dark in their minds and eerily uneasy in the heart.
You can see it in their eyes.
The realization.
Is this what I asked for?
It hits like a ton of bricks.
Raw.
It strips you.
It exposes you.
It brings everything forward.
It may feel like punishment.
But it’s a cleanse.
It’s making space.
It’s moving what’s been stuck.
Because without that… nothing changes.
You can fight it.
You can resist it.
You can try to hold on.
Or you can stay.
Breathe through it.
Let it take what it needs to take.
That’s surrender.
Not giving up.
Surrendering to what is.
And this…
this is what it takes.
The work.
The uncomfortable.
So the question becomes simple.
Are you in?
Or were you only in for the idea of it?
